Cool Like Daddy

           

My father is a complete failure sometimes, but I love him anyway.

I heard the bang of a falling casserole, I heard the hiss of a burning egg, and heard the splash of the spilling water. I clicked my tongue, knowing who is the one causing those familiar sounds.

My dad. Yes, a dad would not do such clumsy things, well not my dad. A day would not pass without him making a mistake. I sighed. What a clumsy man, I bet you thought that. Yes, my dad may be clumsy but you wouldn’t find a daddy cooler than him.

You know what? He will be the first one rushing to my side whenever I feel hungry. Yes, hungry. He’s the best cook alive. He will be the one who will make me laugh loudly even if I’m depressed. He’s the best clown. He will be the one to remind me that I am the best daughter in the world and tell that he loves me. He is the best man in the world.

Now, I dare you. Use your eyes, it’s only inside your own house. Find someone cool like daddy.

Far From Heaven

            I had a dream. A beautiful yet tragic dream.

            I am in heaven. Am I dead? Is this real? All I know is that I should not be here. I should go back to my normal life.

            Then, something, or rather someone showed up in front of me. My 10 years dead mom. Why is she there, just standing? She was just there, so close yet so far.

            All I can think of is if she can even remember me, if everything would stay the way it is 10 years ago and if she will go back with me. Will she still caress my hair lovingly while I’m sleeping? Will she hold my hands like the way she does every time I feel like I’m lost? Will she still help me stand when I feel like I’ve been trampled on?

            I can’t bring the courage to step forward, to touch her, to hug her, and say I love you, I miss you. It feels like time is in between us. I am scared. I am terrified that she will not recognize me due to the time that we are not together. I am afraid but I believe that I can do it.

            When the courage finally get to me, instead to walk, I ran. Slightly tripping when I finally reached her side, not wanting to waste any time, I hugged her tightly, almost.

            I hugged her but I only felt thin air. Instead, I felt something soothing inside my heart. And the feeling of someone caressing my hair, and the feeling of someone tightly holding unto my hand, and a soft whisper “Everything is okay.”

            I opened my eyes. And felt tears rushing down my cheeks. I know I have to move on and be the best, knowing she is there. Watching me far from heaven.

INTRAMS, TIRING BUT WORTH IT (MEDICS FOR THE WIN)

This August 29 – 30, 2013, Cavite National Science High School held the most awaited event this year, THE INTRAMS, YEY! Each year there is a different theme to be followed, this year the theme is each University’s Mascot. For the Grade 7, Green Tamaraws, Grade 8, Yellow Cardinals, Juniors, Red Lions, and for the Seniors, Blue Falcons. The four different teams compete with all of their strength to win the title “Intrams 2013 Champion”.

                During the first day, we all gathered to the gym to start the program. We pledged ourselves to be a sportsman and always play fair, followed by the Mr. and Ms. Physique, Scanner Malabanan and Clark Mercado represented our team,  then Mass Demo followed, each and everyone from different teams danced and did their performance well and great. After that we followed the schedule provided to us about the sports that we’ve joined.

                During the second day, the schedule about our sports was followed again and during the afternoon we have gathered, yet again, at the gym to announce the winning team for each sport. For the Mr. Physique, the contestant from Green Tamaraws won, and for the Ms. Physique, the contestant from the Red Lions won. Then the overall “Intrams 2013 Champion” is the BLUE FALCONS. CONGRATULATIONS BLUE FALCONS!!! And our team 2^nd place THE YELLOW CARDINALS!!!! ALSO CONGATULATIONS TO ALL OF US!!!!!! GREEN TAMARAWS AND RED LIONS TOO!!!! YEHEY!!!!

                For me, I did enjoy the Intrams even though I am a medic. I enjoyed watching different sports that my classmates are participating and its fun to cheer for them and give them more courage and determination to win their sport. I learned from this Intrams that not because you are a medic it doesn’t mean that you should laze around and not give courage to your classmates, because giving them more courage gives them more determination to win.

                Maybe this year’s Intrams may not be the best Intrams that ever happened to me but still the memories that were in my heart can never be erased. <3

My Mother is a Supermom !

           My mother, Analinda Solis Mojica, is a super mom. Everything she do is perfect. But sometimes there are negative aspects too, for example, her nagging can be quite long, it's like her mouth is not tired from talking. But despite of all of that, I STILL LOVE HER. Because she is a supermom of my LIFE that can NEVER BE REPLACED. <33

This day is infinity; and infinity LASTS

           A day I think would be a simple and ordinary day is very far from that, that day is my father's arrival day........

           On a certain day in July 2011, my father will finally arrive here in the Philippines. Of course I am excited, who wouldn't be? For a person like me who haven't met her father for like 5-6 years, it is a memorable and an unforgettable moment. Me and my mother woke up early to fetch him at the airport. On our way to the airport the atmosphere is tense, me and my mother didn't talk to each other. When we arrived at the airport his flight did not arrived yet, so we waited for hours and hours. That was until he texted us saying that he already arrived, so we went to the arrival area, we found someone that looks like him but the person isn't him. It was like years of waiting, so my mother left me in a bench and bought food. Like after 15 minutes, she came rushing to me saying that we went to the wrong arrival area and that she found my father. The scene was almost ridiculous, my mother holding so much food in her hands, running to me, almost tripping. After that we ran like mad leopards finding it's prey because we're just too excited. And finally we saw HIM , MY FATHER. There is this fatherly protection around him that I never felt this last 6 years. And I hope that it is infinite, never ending and forever love.
           Oh God how much I miss him <3
    
I dedicate this story to my father, he is always having home sick these days because he's coming home this August. I hope I can feel again the fatherly feeling. I LOVE YOU PAPA ^_^
